Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN) is one of the region’s leading community health organizations, serving individuals and families throughout Detroit and Wayne County. Their network provides a comprehensive range of behavioral health and wellness services, including mental health support, substance use treatment, intellectual and developmental disability services, crisis response, and community outreach programs.
DWIHN is committed to delivering care that is person-centered, compassionate, and culturally responsive. Their integrated approach ensures that individuals have access to coordinated support—mental, physical, and emotional. Whether someone needs outpatient counseling, crisis stabilization, prevention programs, or long-term support, DWIHN connects them with the right providers and resources to ensure meaningful, lasting progress.
Through our collaboration with DWIHN, individuals and families gain access to an expanded care network built on quality, dignity, and respect. Together, we work to ensure that no one walks their journey alone, and that every person has the support they need to live a healthier, more fulfilling life.

DWIHN serves as a crucial health-care safety-net organization for Detroit and Wayne County, providing access to a comprehensive array of integrated behavioral, physical, and developmental health services.
Their mission is to “provide access to a full array of integrated services that facilitate individuals to maximize their level of function and create opportunities for quality of life.”
They aim “to be recognized as a national leader that improves the behavioral and physical health status of those we serve, through partnerships and direct service that provide programs promoting integrative holistic health and wellness.”

More about About DWIHN

Core Services and Supports

DWIHN offers programs covering adult mental illness, children’s initiatives, autism services, intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD), substance use disorders (SUD), crisis services, mobile outreach, and more.

Their “Integrated Healthcare” model addresses the whole person by coordinating services for physical health, mental health, substance-use disorder and developmental disabilities—ensuring medical and behavioral health professionals work together to improve overall well-being.
They maintain a 24-hour Access & Crisis Call Center (at 1-800-241-4949) to guide triage, screening, linkage and referrals into their full spectrum of services.
DWIHN also pioneered mobile crisis units and outreach clinics bringing services directly into neighborhoods so that transportation or location are not barriers to care.

Why This Matters for You

By partnering with DWIHN, your clients gain access to an expansive care network that supports not just home-care needs but also behavioral health, crisis intervention, recovery support and integration with medical care. This means that the services you provide (through your organization) can align with — and refer into — a larger system aimed at whole-person wellness.
It also means enhanced peace of mind: when your loved one receives home-based support, you can trust that they are connected to a system experienced in multiple dimensions of health, not just isolated caregiving.
